Researching a distillery rather than one bottle? The public distilleries directory lists every distillery, bottler, and brand wsky1 tracks — grouped by region, with a page each. No account needed.

The distilleries directory, grouped by region with search and status badges

The directory

At wsky1.com/distilleries you get every tracked distillery, grouped by region (Islay, Speyside, Highland, Island, Campbeltown, Lowland, Japanese, Other). Each region has a short description; each distillery is a card showing:

  • a status badge — Active (green), Mothballed (yellow), or Closed (red);
  • the founding year (e.g. Est. 1815) and a one-line style note (e.g. "Heavily peated, maritime");
  • how many bottles are tracked for it — {N} bottles tracked;
  • a View prices & data → link to the distillery page.

Use the search box ("Search distilleries, regions, styles…") to filter live, or the region pills to jump to a region. No match shows No distilleries match "<query>".

A distillery page

Each distillery has its own page at /distillery/<name> (for example /distillery/lagavulin). It opens with the region, the count of expressions tracked, and a one-line summary — the cross-expression median hammer and the year-on-year move. Below that:

  • Stats box — four figures: Expressions tracked, Cross-expression median, All-time high, All-time low.
  • Value your bottle — free — a search box pre-filled with the distillery name, so you can jump to a specific expression's price page and value it without signing up.
  • About {Distillery} — a production card: Founded, Region, Owner, Style, plus a prose description and the status badge.
  • Distillery-level market trend — a chart of the distillery's overall auction trend (a WhiskyHunter aggregate — see Where prices come from).
  • {Distillery} expressions at auction — the full table of that distillery's bottles: Expression · Latest price · YoY · Age. Priced expressions link to their bottle page; expressions with no recent auction data are listed separately under "No recent auction data" and marked Awaiting data.
  • FAQ — current auction price, whether it's a good investment, and where to sell — for that distillery.
  • Cross-links to the distillery's monthly market reports and to same-region peers.

The directory also links three data-driven guide hubs, one page per distillery, built entirely from the same hammer data (never opinion):

Notes & limits

  • All prices are hammer prices in GBP, excluding buyer's premium — see Where prices come from.
  • "Distilleries" includes independent bottlers and brands, not only distilleries — anything a collectable bottle is attributed to.
  • Prices refresh daily; the monthly market reports roll the same data up per month.
